Summary: A winner with an Amusing Review
"Built To Win" is a management primer that should be in the hands of every personnel manager in and out of sport. The negative review by Mr. Ahnberg is amusing: He says it is written on a fourth-grade level, but he misspells "conscience," a word most third-graders can spell.

Summary: Excellent reading!
Wow! What a fantastic book if you want to learn about how Schuerholz runs the Braves. He does discuss the tough choice of leaving Kansas City to join the Braves when they weren't popular choice amongst baseball, but he couldn't have made a better choice. Some interesting views on steroids, certain ball players and the daily responsibilities of running the powerhouse Braves. So much better than Moneyball- a great read!

Summary: I tried to like it!
In this self-aggrandizing attempt to position the Braves as the most successful franchise of the past 100 years of baseball, Schuerholz offers very little insight on how to run a successful franchise and instead focuses on stories that leave you saying in the end, "who cares."

The book at times feels like it is being written on a 4th-grade reading level and I could not in good conscious recommend it to any baseball fan.

Summary: Same Old Chilton's, but Good to Have Around
This is more a repair/replace manual than a trouble shooting manual. So much of these cars is now so computer driven and electrical that a shop that has the right instruments really needs to trouble shoot problems via the computer. Otherwise, this manual is great for a lot of basics as well as wiring and capacities. I use the manual (and the other ones I have for my other cars) for brakes, transmission, cooling, etc., all the time. Good book to have for the "oak tree" mechanic.

Summary: Not very helpful as a trouble shooting manual
I recently ordered this book to help me troubleshoot an electrical problem with my 1997 Grand Prix. I am quite
disappointed with the quality of this book. It is printed on newprint paper (very low quality), and feels quite flimsy.
More importantly, since this book covers such a wide range of GM "W cars", it contains very little specific information to
help me with my problem. All in all I found this to be a waste of money.

I almost purchased another name brand manual and I am glad I didn't. I found the information in it to be vague and confusing but with the Chilton's everything is easy to find and understand. I have saved over $300 so far by doing the work myself and am about to save $200 more this weekend. I would recommend Chilton's to anyone who is working on a car expert or novice. It's well worth the price!!!! Summary: jack of all trades, master of none This is a very informative book, but if you are looking for something specific on a given model, you may be out of luck. In fact, I got the Haynes manual from the library, which covers less models and years, and that still didn't mention the vacuum pump for an 86 Sedan De Ville, which is the part that I need to replace. I guess I'll just wing it. Neither book addressed the removal and replacement of the antenna, either, but if I were to do that incorrectly, the worst would be lack of radio reception, or maybe a short in the stock "Symphony Sound" cassette deck, which wouldn't affect me too much. Maybe the Chilton's editorial staff book would be more detailed. All in all, it's a very informative book, with a lot of general troubleshooting information. Also, it's going to help me remove my engine from my '70 Eldorado quite nicely. I'm going to keep it, if for nothing else, than as a guide for the Eldo engine and as a generic book on automotive mechanics. All the specs are there, and that's nice. Summary: it's very informative I'm loking forward to reading and getting plenty of know how from this book. I've been looking everywhere for a book on my year's model which is an '89 Sedan deVille. I also have a '78 Ford Fairmont station wagon. Summary:

Summary: Automotive Repair Pontiac Firebird 2001
I have searched your website for a CHILTON'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR MANUEL for a 2001 PONTIAC FIREBIRD, and did not find anything for that year. I live in Guam and my vehicle is a rear car here on the Island, and not even the GM DEALER has the automotive repair manuel. It would be of great help to me if I was able to locate such a manuel, to help me with the repairs of my vehicle.

I have got a Buick Skylark 1989 4 cil. and I need the user manual and repair manual (sorry by my english, I'm learning ) When I turn on the car then 20 minutes, and I turn off, when I try turn on again, I can't start the car.
