Love this book Summary: U. S. Coin Guide Book for 2007. For me this is the Bible for American coin collectors. The spiral bound version is so much better than the paperback. Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: Simply 18th century coins of the world for the world ! Certainly this is the book for 18th century coins, unless you are mainly interested in one country like the UK or France -- in that case you would find more information more attractively laid out, along with other centuries, elsewhere, usually more cheaply too. But for its coverage of the world, including hugely complicated countries like Gemany, Italy and India, it is unbeatable. This 3rd edition is an improvement over earlier editions, because more pictures (especially of the smaller coins) and more obscurities have been included. For users in countries which do not speak English, the conversions such as VF = TTB = BB =MBC are very useful ! The book is not difficult for foreigners to use. Summary: As my collection slowly moves back in time I need a guide so I just do not blindly pay big bucks for cute pictures. There are a lot of good guides and some more specific on particular eras and locations such as Westphalia. But as you do a coin search you are bound to run across something you are not familiar with and need a guide. This guide is a great place to start; it is easy to navigate and gives cursory information on particular locations and times surrounding the coin's production. Keeping in mind that this is just a guide, there are holes and the coins are not displayed in color. On the other hand the coins shown are in actual size; size is hard to translate form internet pictures. With all the electronic references today it is nice to have something tactile, static and transportable. This book meet al those needs. Summary: The best guide to world gold coins after year 1600 This is the best guide to world gold coins dated after 1600. Before 1600, look for Friedberg's "Gold Coins of the World" which has gold ancient coins and gold coins up to year 1600. Clark Smith www.coinvault.com Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 3 Reviews: Summary: Paperback Poor Quality Binding. Iv'e had several Paperback Overstreet Guides and after moderate use pages tend to come loose from the binding and the book becomes worthless as a resale not to mention trying to keep it together. The Hardbacks seem to hold up much better and are more desirable as a collector item. For the additional price I find it is worth going with the Hardback version. I have never found Amazon.Comm to offer the Hardback and I don't know why?? Summary: 'THE' Comic book guide As usual Overstreet has come forward with the benchmark that we all use for pricing/grading comics. They cover gold/silver/ bronze age all the way up today. If you want an accurate reference for pricing your comics, Overstreet is the way to go. Summary: Questionable prices I was a bit surprise to see that Overstreet quoted some of my collection at the same value as the one published in the monthly comic magazine Wizard. It's be widely known that Wizard tends to overestimate the value of comics so as to drum up interests for anew generation of collectors, but it is shocking to see Overstreet, a trusted publication since the invention of comics, to use the same pricing techniques as Wizard. If one take the time to do price research on Ebay and other popular auction sites, one would see that most comics can be had for a fraction of what Overstreet is stating in value. Newcomers to the world of comics should take the prices quoted in Overstreet with skepticism. The positive aspect of the Overstreet Price Guide is it gave a most comprehensive catalogue of comics published since the turn of the 20th century to today. Summary: |

Publisher: Philip Wilson Publishers |

| ISBN: 0302006680 List Price: $150.00 Amazon Price: This item is currently not available. |
Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: The fountain pen bible This is it. If you buy only one book on fountain pens, or if you are serious about fountain pen collecting, this is THE book to get. Unfortunately, it is Really expensive. Look around for a used copy using the usual suspects on the Web. The photos are great and the captions clearly identify each pen shown. Numerous non-US pen companies are written about and many pens are pictured here and nowhere else (in other standard pen ID books). Highly recommended. Summary: Buying this book enhanced the joy of pen collecting! I have always admired Lambrou's book, 'Fountain Pens of the World', but could not justify the price -- after all the cost of this book could go towards another fountain pen -- I WAS WRONG!! I wished I bought my copy years ago, it would have saved me so much money in buying pens that were not exactly the model that the seller described (going to a few markets/pen shows and especially on-line auctions). The history of pens from around the world is well documented. The pen manufacturers are grouped in chapters by country. Every pen is life size. More than 2,300 pens are shown and the color representation is great. Even a Parker Snake, Aztec, Swastika, Forget-me-not and many, many more I just dream about! Only gripe -- no price list, but Lambrou states that people can abuse the information as the price list is only valid at the time of print. To date, I 've yet to see any other book as well put together's as this one. Don't use false economy like I did. Buy this book as soon as you can -- it gives many, many happy hours of pen collecting and reading! Summary: Buying this book saved me making mistakes in collecting! Publisher: Whitman Coin Products |

| ISBN: 1582380783 List Price: $6.99 Amazon Price: $6.99 Usually ships in 24 hours |
Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: Great Product Hard to find. I have 3 different types of collector books for the Quarters. None are complete. This set is complete both the East and West Mints. You should buy one for each child, greandchild or greatgrandchild. These will make a great Christmas present for 2008. Summary: What more can you ask for? Works great and is at a great price. I can't think of anything else I would like to see. Summary: Nice but things to take note of This is a nice coin book but I just want to note two things interested buyers should be aware of: (1) When you push in the coins, it can leave coin-shaped protrusions on the other side of the leather covering, and (2) At least on my copy of the book there's a typo for South Carolina. For each state, there is a slot for D and a slot for P minted coins, and there is a label underneath (e.g., "California-D" and "California-P"). On my copy, "South Carolina-P" is printed twice, instead of one for South Carolina-D. Summary: |
