Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: FINALLY, a good set of minis I just got my 3 boxes of these minis and I was expected something like the last ones, a ton of the same dumb minis and big ones that no one wants. But I was pleasantly surprise. My big ones were the aspect of timant, a dracolich and the huge fire elemental! All were nice! I also got the green dragon which is very nicely done and some great little guys, the aasimir(sp?) will make a great full plate paladin and the dwarvan defender is classic! I even got a little copper dragon. Another one that I'm really happy with is the Blackguard on a Nightmare... it's got that red clear-ish plastic flaming feet. It could be I got a lucky draw, but I think I try three more and see! Well done! Summary: The best Miniatures set to date Of the D&D Ministures set, this is by far the best in terms of quality and content. However, I highly suggest that if you want speedy delivery, you avoid Amazon.com when it comes to purchasing these products. I currently have 6 Packs on Order with Amazon because it said it would ship within 24 hours - however, I was told today (A week after purchase) that they are now backordered to August 8th. If you don't mind waiting the weeks / month(s) it may take for Amazon to stock and ship these items, it's a great value. If you want instant gratification, go to a game shop or buy on Ebay. Summary: Okay, it's not out yet, BUT I REALLY WANT IT Ever since I first played D&D and fought my very first dragon, I have pined for some truly cool looking dragon miniatures to plonk down in front of my players. And this set. This set looks to bring the pain. I wait with baited breath. Please don't disappoint, Wizards. Please. Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: Amen to "The Purpose-Driven Life" When communism overtook Cuba half century ago, my family was ripped off of everything we have worked so hard for generations to attain. (Read "Adios, Havana" a memoir) Traumatized as a teenager, I lost my faith in the goodness of the Lord. Exiled and destitute I began to see life in a totally different light here in America. Fifty years later I don't believe in coincidences anymore and I firmly maintain that every grain of sand has a purpose in God's great creation. "The Purpose-Driven Life" is an extraordinary book. Summary: Convinces Me I'm "Living the Life" At first I was turned off to this book because I heard that it was George Bush's favorite book. Then when I was in a Christian internet dating service, a bunch of women seemed to say that this was their favorite book. The title made it seem like it was some sort of book about motivating Christians to become little millionares-just like at Toledo St. Francis they would twist the meaning of the Parable of the Talents to mean that we should go out to college and be a big success in life as our service to God. but a Talent was an ancient unit of weight. But this is a good book on the subject of Christian Discipleship. HOWEVER, when I did get the book on CD, I liked it very much. It shows me that I am LIVING THE LIFE because so many so-called Christians like to ridicule me for my lack of material successs. I really don't get much encouragement from people about my being a good Christian although Dallas Seminary once did try to recruit me over the telephone but I thought they were too high pressure. My only failing seems to be my lack of social acceptance at church, so I had to ignore those three chapers. But I do some sort of activism in letter writing for causes that I believe in; but a priest I used to talk to on the phone on weekends in grad school for counseling had suggested letter writing activism because he belonged to Ammnesty International. I do serve God in my bible study and my trying to get published as an author. I did that for 15 years and gave up. It is just nice to know that although now I just study the Bible that I am encouraged that I am doing a good job as a believer in Christ! Summary: Stars depend on who you are If you are a brand new born again Chrisitian you will enjoy this book, it is a great place to start on your walk with your God. It will be a 5 star ***** book for you.It has great scripture quotes and little gems of wisdom. If you are a more mature Chrisitian this book will be 2 stars ** and seem like the reshuffling of verses and teachings you have heard a million times, it will bore you quickly and start to annoy you with its naivete and child like qualities. Avg Cusomer Rating: 1 Reviews: Summary: Cute but useless I wasn't able to use this book at all. It was confusing and didn't have any useful information I feel I can trust. Summary: Great Overview into one of the best ways to build instant rappoire. I believe palm reading is the next best stage in ice breaking. This book will provide you with even greater insights on this powerful technique to build rappoire and attraction. Why is palm reading so compelling? Because you are continuing to touch on all eight elements of attraction, two of which include appropriate intimacy and comfort. If you want to learn more details and take your palm reading skills further, this book is for you. - GiddyupGuy Summary: Poor quality publication with missing pages. I received this book and started reading it, only to find after 96 pages into it, that it was incomplete and missing 17 pages right at the important parts. I had to return it. What a hassle. You would think that the publisher would at least make sure all the pages are in the book... Fools Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 4 Reviews: Summary: Practical advice and easy to put into practice I am not a deeply religious person but I previously had major, major issues with my own personal boundaries. I happened to hear about this book and can definitely say that it helped me. I skimmed over the overly religious parts and took the good practical advice to heart. Summary: Everyone Needs This Book I was certainly skeptical in deciding to read this book. I must say however, that my skeptic attitude had failed me in this particular situation. This book has forever changed my life and more specifically, my understanding of godly relationships. Never have I encounted a book that has so efficiently and contextually utilized biblical passages that correspond so relevantly to the message and premise of the book. I cannot emphasize just how much EVERYONE needs this book. No matter how old, young, mature, immature, or even in my case, arrogant, you NEED to read this book. Its keen insights and biblical foundations illuminate the harder to understand beliefs of the average Christian such as "turning the other cheek." Since I've read this book I have reccomended it to everyone I know and even purchased it for a few! I firmly believe, after you read this, you will want to do the same! Summary: Incredible Book!! Wow!!! This book was absolutely incredible, and is one that I'm sure I will read over & over & over! There is so much wisdom in this book, that it's impossible for all of it to be absorbed the first time through. I would highly recommend this book to anyone! I think that everyone has issues with boundaries at some point or another, and this book shows you why we have boundaries, need them, and need to respect them both for ourselves and others. I'm sending a copy of this book to all of my close friends because I know they'll love it & it will really make a huge difference in their lives. Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 4 Reviews: Summary: Character Beats out All Averages, Hands Down His emphasis on character as the basis of effective living -- and a good basis for life -- is a unifying theme that will pull together all of the other points Sean Covey places in his book. This book is no copycat of his father's book; it is sharply readable and entertaining, as he promises at the outset. It's not hard to forget all the reasons not to be self-centered, materialistic, petty, and all the other bad things, when you keep in mind the idea of having good character as the basis for learning. In this way, too, the student can keep in mind possible explanations for parent behavior; they are reacting to stimuli that include but are not limited to things the reader may be up to. Not that parents are perfect -- not all of them, anyway. Some parents should be taken to the cleaners to dry in the sun, at least for a while. However, all other things being equal, the parent who does not aim at least part of his or her relationship with youth on the overall development and growth of his or her teen may be readily persuaded to see the light and accept the child for who he or she is by throwing this book at them. I have to give The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens about 4 stars, but it was a toss-up. It doesn't compare well with War and Peace, but as self-improvement reading it is hard to beat the seven habits book. The title probably required a release from the father-author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People -- or a great father-son relationship, anyway. On second thought, the publisher would have required the release, regardless. Almost nothing gets 5 stars. However, if you know somebody who is -- or if you are -- feeling messed up about which end is up and it seems that everything is racing through the mind too quickly, then slow down and look at the fundamentals, a little. Next, give this book to your parents, it should be mandatory reading as part of the parent licensing program I would propose that somebody or some group, church, religion or philosophy administer. Summary: I love this book Wow this is one of those books that when you first look at it it looks boring its not. I ran for the Miss pagent of my town. "In my case Miss Yucca Valley" I was told that I was going to read in this book. I love to read so I didnt think much of it. I began to read every day. I fell in love with the ideas that this book holds. I began to read every chance I got. My friends were laughing at me because all I talked about was this book. The lessons in this story really taught me something. Every teen should read it. Summary: Simply put, it works It's right, these are highly effective habits for not only teenagers, but anyone. I was disappointed with this miniature edition, not because there is anything wrong with it, but I did not expect it to be so small. I recommend the regular sized book. You will undoubtedly be an improved man if you read this book. Summary: |

Avg Cusomer Rating: 5 Reviews: Summary: wonderful 8 habits for you Dr Covey's book is an excellent read. This book should be read by every executive because it not only gives sound knowledge but also a valuable synthesis of management wisdom. Some people may not comprehend the book's contents exactly but you can gain some gems that will be useful in organizations and in life in general. The reader can benefit from the book and can integerate this know how with past experience and learning. A good book to read, I would advice everyone to read it although it may not contain everything, I can say that one can learn much from the book. Summary: Not a Casual Read I am a big time Covey fan and have read the 7 Habits several times. Now I am trying to re-read the 8th Habit again (actually, to get through it once). I got through three fourths of the book about a year ago and am now re-reading it to try and get through the whole thing. I'm discovering new things again that I missed the first time through. Admittingly, it does tend to drag on but if you put the effort into this you will find many gems. Summary: Fine overall message, but a bit too complex Heard THE 8TH HABIT, read and written by Stephen R. Covey . . . I liked the overall message; i.e., we need to find our voice and inspire others to find theirs . . . however, it was presented in an overly complex fashion that could have easily been shortened . . . or even better, incorporated into a revised edition of THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE--Covey's earlier classic. This latter book has always been one of my all-time favorites . . . his latest one was a bit too jargon-oriented for my taste? . . . I also thought it was redundant, in that it repeated much of the information from 7 HABITS. Yet that said, I did like how he stressed the need to engage people in the workplace by establishing trust and developing a shared vision . . . and perhaps most importantly, he noted that we must continually search for third alternatives (not a compromise between your way and my way, a completely separate better way). In addition, I got this one great idea from it: The best way to learn something is to teach it from others . . . so if that be the case, we should ask our children to teach us what they've learned that day in class . . . what a terrific way to help both children and their parents learn new material, as well as to improve communication skills!
